Here are a few things to look out for:

The price is suspiciously too low

Offering too low of a pricing for power washing might be a sign of a scam. There is nothing wrong with being affordable and offering a good deal, but if an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is! When a business offers a great price and then asks you to pay in cash, it’s a red flag. This is especially true if they try to pressure you into making the payment right away or if they don’t accept credit cards.

Pressure washing companies that ask for payment upfront are likely trying to scam you out of your money. If the company does not do any work until after they get paid, then there is no risk for them of losing money if something goes wrong with the service.

Specialising in one type of pressure washing (hot/cold/etc…)

“Specialising in hot pressure washing” or some other specific way of power washing is a sign of as scam. Temperature of the water is not as important as other factors when it comes to cleaning power, but there are some companies who will try and convince you otherwise. They may claim that their technology can only be used in hot water, and that it is the best for cleaning. This is not true. Hot water does have some advantages over cold, but it is not necessary for a good clean job.

They advertise using expensive products

Using an expensive sealer is not a guarantee of quality. Just because they use expensive sealers doesn’t mean that they’re going to do a good job cleaning your property. In fact, many times their work will be shoddy and leave behind streaks or uneven surfaces that need additional attention.

“We do everything!”

Offering to pressure wash everything is a sign of a low quality company. You should never hire someone who does this—it shows that they don’t know what they’re doing or how much time it will take them to complete the job correctly! Simple truth is that not everything can be power washed and some things take special skill and preparation before you can do so.

A professional business will carefully survey your property before they decide if they can help you with their skills!
